If something went wrong, we want to know. This page explains how to raise a concern about this website or about a provider you were connected with through it.
Complaints about this website or our service
Call (805) 978-4184 or use the contact form and write "Complaint" in the message. Include the date, the city, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge complaints within a few business days and tell you what we will do about them.
Complaints about a provider
Ventura County Haulers doesn't perform the work, so disputes about pricing, workmanship, scheduling, or damage are between you and the provider, under your agreement with it. We still want to hear about it:
- Contact the provider first. Put your concern in writing and keep copies of estimates, contracts, invoices, photos, and messages.
- Tell us. Let us know which provider it was and what happened. We review concerns and may stop sending requests to providers who don't treat homeowners fairly.
- Use official channels if needed.
- Movers: household goods movers in California need a state permit. If you have a dispute with a mover, ask for its permit number and contact the state agency that issued it.
- Construction-related work: if a provider did demolition or construction work, the California Contractors State License Board takes complaints at cslb.ca.gov.
- Consumer protection: the Ventura County District Attorney's office and the California Department of Consumer Affairs provide consumer complaint resources.
- Emergencies: for anything unsafe, call 911 or your utility.
